Bob Dancer's CasinoGaming Column - 16 DEC 2008

so bd's only goal is to make the eastside playable for him again and
too bad for the rest of us...at least his is admitting to it, though
if anybody sees him playing there they will probably explain to
management his advantage and how much he is making an hour off
them...would seem only fair...

Well, I'm thinking if he makes it playable for himself, he's going to
make it playable for a few other folks as well. And since no one is
going to confuse EC with, say, GVR, I'm interested to see what he has
in mind.

I may be wrong but I thought I recalled Bob admitting that he gets
special deals, i.e. special point multipliers and special bounceback
cash, etc. So just because a machine is playable for Bob doesn't mean
it's playable to the average Jane Doe, in fact it probably is not.
They used to call these shills.

An author of strategy guides is only paid by those purchasing his/her
product to provide truthful information about specific VP plays in
specific situations. There is no obligation to provide the games that
offer those opportunities.

I'm not sure why players feel Mr. Dancer "owes" them anything for
that reason. You paid him to learn a 3 Card SF beats a suited high
pair, not for Eastside Cannery to offer you 10X points.

As for his consulting with casinos there obviously has to be
something in it for the casino. But some of his advice will have to
lead to advantages for the player as well. After all, if business
declines after Mr. Dancer's consultation (because knowledgeable
players stay away) his consulting days are over. And I don't believe
for one second that with his years of experience Mr. Dancer would now
change course and only be going after a "quick buck".

The database only lists playable games at the $25.00 and $100.00 level with no information on lower denomination games. Does anyone know what the best games available are at the $1.00 or $2.00 level and where they are located.

Thanks.

It sounds like the green eyed monster is rearing its ugly head...he

has what many want...but it took him years of studying, practice and
hard work to get where he is today.

The impression that I got from the posts was that people were
frustrated that in the process of him making money for himself by
consulting, he has cost them money by having good machines slowed
down/shorted. While there may very likely be some jealousy involved,
the impression that I got was that people feel like he has taken money
from their pockets and put it in his.

Greed as a motivator heads it on the head for BD and the grippers.

That could be...just an observation because some of them had a very mean tone. Then again, I guess I would have a mean tone if someone took money from my pocket.

We'll be heading to the Atlantis Nassau for the first time at the end of this week. The room is comped up front arranged by my local host contacting a host at the Atlantis. When I tried this a few years ago I was told that a room comp was basically out of the question and stayed at the Crystal Palace which is very nice.

Is there any update on the VP or getting food comps at the Atlantis? I hear the restaurant costs are outrageous. Is there any game close to FP at any denomination?

I had thought there was a link on this site to Nassau and other island casinos and cruise ships. Has it been deleted?

Thanks
Joel

DataBase Coverage of island casinos and cruise ships (except
for one local Texas ship) was discontinued several years ago.
