Except that the Barona $1 NSUDS(99.73%) have now been downgraded to
99.23% and 98.91%. See my recent posting, message #94267. And I looked
at a 50c machine in the high-limit area that was paying for deuces
something like 97% (I didn't take notes on it). Maybe Barona dropped
the payouts right after Dancer's invited visit, in order to take
advantage of people who come in at his recommendation?

This is hilarious, especially Bob's comment that "Barona blows away
Viejas" at video poker. Someone is blowing someone here roflmao!

The weasel factor at Barona is very high, especially if you're a high
roller video poker player. They've offered stuff in the past, only to
say, "did we say that?". I wouldn't trust anything marketing tells you
to get you to come down to play. Viejas has the better high limit
offerings, but you're getting the game, .1% cb or fp, a smidgeon in
the mail, and not a whole lot else. The drawings there aren't worth a
whole lot, and have little certainty.

Barona does have the better overall product, it's a good play for a
room comp and the buffet is very good, but that's about it. If you
have a driver's license from Orange or LA counties, there is
occasionally a good new member's promo at Barona worth $200. But
that's it...don't expect to make any money there. But, yeah, for most
recreational players who are looking for an easy room and buffet comp,
it's probably the best choice in SoCal. Viejas has no hotel.

Oh yeah, good luck getting on those 100-plays. They have penny denom
on them and are frequented by the professionally homeless. Lots of
seat selling going on. There used to be four, but the machines got
taken out because it accumulated too many of those professionally
homeless people. Maybe if you offered $5 or $10 to play...

There is a $5 8-6 Jacks/BDlx progressive with 1% meter in high limit,
but at about 40K it starts attracting team play (there are 3-4 teams
in SoCal, mostly Keno and the odd Pot of Gold 7-5/8-5 Jacks progressive).

99.23%??? I've seen 15-10 on Class II Game Kings, but not 16-9.

There seems to be a lot of that going around. A casino announces a
promotion but then junks their paytables and wonders why people don't
play that much. After the promotion, the paytables are restored, but
the result is a lot of angered former players. The new technology
allows casinos to change paytables back and forth on a whim, but the
practice is yet another bad business practice, bad for the industry
overall, players learn that promotions can't really be trusted, no
matter how good they may seem on paper, and marketing loses any
credibility it once had. The result is Fast Freddy's Used Car
Emporium, they'll promise you whatever you want (good luck actually
taking delivery on what you've been promised).

Maybe Bob should adopt more legaleze in his claims, something like this:

It was the loosest video poker in <insert region here> when I visited
on <insert date here, include time stamp>, your actual results may vary.

I'm sure an endorsement by Mr. Dancer is very much appreciated by any
casino, and I'm also sure Mr. Dancer is aware of that.

In the meantime, all the more reason to monitor the database
carefully and network with those who make an effort to play. You all
just saved me a 3 hour drive to Barona, so I'm grateful for my time
and $$ not wasted.

The $1 (and also $2, I think) MG machines at Barona that have only two
games, Deuces Wild and Loose Deuces, formerly NSUD for Deuces, are now
25/16/9/4/4/, paying 99.23%. Not sure exactly what category machine,
but obviously IGT. These are about 10 machines in a bank near the
self-service beverage bar.

Until a few months ago, Barona had a few 25c NSUDs.

In my previous message (#94501), I mis-stated the matter of the
low-paying 50c machine in the High-Limit area. This was at Viejas, not
Barona. I didn't check out the high-limit area in Barona. I'd agree
that Barona is probably better than Viejas for VP, but not by much.
Although Viejas has been giving me a few bucks worth of unexpected
free play, unlike Barona, percentage-wise it's fairly generous. And
Sycuan Casino is a vast VP wasteland, especially for $1 or less.

The three Optimum Play machines that were located next to the new country-western dance club at Santa Fe have disappeared.

A slot tech called his supervisor, and reported that the three machines were "taken off the floor."
