You have to keep in mind that the stuff Bob writes about is also the same
stuff he advises the casinos to take action against you. So, if you exactly
follow Bob's advice, you fall into the casino's (and Bob's) hands. You need to
develop your own strategies and tactics if you want to beat the casino and Bob.
Personally I'm a big fan of Kelly optimal strategy, but you never know, I might
just be saying that to make money off you, or maybe Bell Labs gets a kickback,
who knows.
I see Bob Dancer's lessons as trying to get people to think like a pro and make
their own assessments of promotions and opportunities. It's like the old saying
about giving someone a meal or teaching them to fish, or whatever that old
saying was. I mean, the guy is really really logical!
Anyway, I guess we're not supposed to talk about this anymore and move to
another group or personal email. Not sure why, I thought it was a civil and
interesting discussion. And I, being a relative newbie, have learned something
from this exchange. In fact, I've learned that I have a whole bunch to learn.
Good luck, all!
