bob dancer newest on double up feature

Great info, always learning something new,

What about casinos that use "theo" in deciding comps ? First thought is might be an advantage for a tourist like myself if they count the double up bet as coin in as they do on the original bet .

It's been thoroughly established that the double-up option is "self contained" within the original game wager -- it's not considered to be an additional wager, doesn't factor into points earned, nor theo/comps.

Obviously the double bet must factor into win/loss accounting, but seems to be ignored for all other purposes.

I still maintain that there are decent double down stud pay tables* that may become positive with promos with enough point multipliers, as the double wager does count as points and yields a very high return, off setting the low return on the initial 5 coin wager.

* I will not reveal their location, though at an Indian casino which could be an issue too.

BTW I now no longer know of any decent video black jack, but always thought you got point credit for double downs.

Is that why California casinos are full of bus fleas constantly looking at last game played on blackjack on IGT Gamekings, ESPECIALLY Valley View. An Asian woman actually touched my machine the other day after I said she said she couldn't and said "oh I just wanted to look at the last game played-- I don't want to play it now".

Discussion has been limited to vp games with an optional double on wins. It's a 50/50 prop with luck as the only factor.

"Double down stud" video poker (or the table equivalent) is an entirely different animal, and the double is a "skilled" wager. I'm unaware of any DDS with a house hold of under 2%, so if you're aware of an advantage play, it's certainly exceptional.

There were progressives at the Orleans and Gold Coast, at least, for a
while, although I haven't seen any in years.
