There is a little town up on the west side of Flathead Lake called Dayton, population 100. Doyle Brunson has had a home there for years. Chip had a home there too until he died. Doyle would usually come up for a month before the WSOP, go down to the WSOP then return to Dayton for the summer months. In his autobiography, Doyle said that one day he would retire to his home in Dayton.

In his autobiography, Doyle Brunson never told the name of the little Montana town that he and Chip Reese had homes in. But there are some Montanans here that know exactly where they lived.

Ray Zee has a ranch just a little east of Whitefish. Ray is a famous old poker player from back in the day in Nevada. Though many people tried to talk him into it he passed on the poker boom. The guy just doesn't like leaving Northern Montana. Doyle and Todd visit with him when they are up this way.
