Bob Dancer Classes at Greektown

It certainly influenced our decisions, and Bob - you can feel free to relate
this to the Greektown management. It was our favorite place to play. We'd
bring in "ploppie" friends with us who mostly liked nickel and penny slots, too.
After the debacle, we immediately stopped going there. In 2004, I had about
$550,000 VP coin-in in Detroit casinos. Half MGM, half Motor City, and
diddly-squat for Greektown. As an informal "casino expert" in my area, I did a
fair amount of telling others why that happened, too.

This particular incident is egregious enough that I can easily understand
why people have long memories. I don't play in Detroit, but if I did it
would certainly influence my decision of where to play even today.

Trust me. They know. The current management's position is that they are
embarrassed by that particular incident --- which they agree was handled
very poorly. All they can do now is to move on. They cannot go back and
un-do it, even though they would like to. They are hoping that by
offering good games and promotions, eventually people will decide to
come back.

A lot of casinos have very embarrassing histories. Many recover from
that. Some don't. There will always be players who hold a grudge
forever. Most, however, do not. Anyone who wants to hate Greektown for
the next ten years has my permission to do so. A more sensible approach,
in my opinion, is to evaluate where you can best invest your video poker
dollar today. If you use that criterion in Detroit, you'll play at
Greektown at least some of the time.

This is the same management team that's responsible for the recent
interstate billboard that mislead the public (claming 9/6 JB is "over
100%"), is it not? What did they say when you questioned them on
this...or did you ask them?

The same management team that told you 8 of 9 players were
reinstated, when, in fact, the number of reinstated players is
actually less than 8?

They cannot go back and
un-do it, even though they would like to.

They could choose to restore the comps that were stolen from the
barred players. They have chosen not to, so are they really any
different than the original group of thieves that stole from the 9
players?

Now this I would agree with but ONLY if the play + benefits exceeds
100%. I thoroughly enjoy giving my play to operators that I don't
especially care for when I know I have the best of it because I know in
the long run I'm costing them money. Taking money from casinos I don't
care for is a wonderful thing.

The problem is the obvious fact that 99.99% of the public won't have
the best of it and they'll contribute to the casino's bottom line.
