What shall we rename this thread? How about the
"First Annual Joint Members Dinner"?
   The details are in place.
    Location: Outback Steak House at the Casino Royale
on the strip.
    Time:7:00 PM Thursday 7/22.
   This will be a JOINT meeting of the vpFREE members
group and the LVA Members. LVA contributor and
columnist Scot Krause is scheduled to attend. I know I
have been dying to meet him.
   RSP of course. Mainly because I am picking up the
first $400 of the check!!
   I am flying in from Dallas the day before, will
have a car and can ferry people from wherever if need
be. I recommend out of staters that have never been to
Casino Royale try to make it between 4:00 and 7:00 PM,
sign up for the free funbook which has eight good
coupons, including one for $50 of slot play which I
BELIEVE is good on their 8/5 Bonus VP machines which
is the best game in the house. Triple cash back (i.e.
%0.75 during those hours.

I was at the Casino Royale this past weekend.

It's actually not a bad coupon book, but the $50 Free Slot Play is only good on certain "promotional machines". These are slot machines (at least I didn't see any VP) right near the slot club booth.

You are given a $50 coupon that looks like Monopoly money. You feed it into the bill acceptor. (I assume the regular machines won't take them, but didn't have the guts to try.) The promotional machines are dollar denomination, 3 coin max bet.

There was a lady there explaining the rules and she went pretty fast. I should have had her explain some things over again (Jean Scott would have!) but there was a line building up. I THINK the way it works is that they only pay on jackpot hands, so you can't just put in the $50 slip and then hit the Cash Out button and run off with the money.

My $50 didn't last long. I think I stood in line at the booth longer then it took me to run through the 50 credits!
