Black Oak Casino: Funny 99.95% game...

They have this bank of four OOOOLD game-maker type machines.
They have different progressives on the bank..
One of them is JoB...25c denom...with the royal at $4000
HOWEVER...
The rest of the game is HORRIBLE!
15 for a 4OAK
6 for a FullHouse
5 for a flush

I played it for a few minutes because I figured the return was close to 100%...but it was SOOOOOO painfull slow and there were no buttons (you HAD to touch the screen to hold the cards)

I plugged these numbers into Optimum Video Poker, and it reports that the game returns 98.57%. And the Variance is a staggering 255, compared to most games in the range of 20-40. So you are extremely likely to lose your bankroll, and I would not recommended it at all.

Plus, it moves much of the return of your 25c game into taxable territory, whereas your normal 25c game never notifies the IRS!

It sure is easy to make a wrong "seat of the pants" evaluation when confronted with an unusual paytable. I have done the same. If I am thinking of the same machines I have stayed away from them. There used to be a bank near the gift shop and another near the rest rooms near the entrance to the non smoking area. They are not game maker, but an unknown type that I have always been suspicious. They were brought over from the old tin roof casino when Black Oak first opened. Of course when they first opened it was easy to find fair full pay games, but it seems Black Oak is more interested in the bus riding, penny slot machine crowd now.

Black Oak casino is where I hit my first RF.
