We had winning trip. Brought home an extra Grand. Played alot of VP and
a few slots for a couple of good hits. Only bummer was that we ended up
in a smoking room and it was just awful. I did notice that the machine
to the left of the 50/100 plays do not have any VP on them anymore, all
Keno. Not to sad though, they were all short pays. Got a nice bottle of
wine from the El as a B-day gift and dropped $600 or so there... anyone
want a $600 bottle of wine...Ha!
$1000 winning trip and got the wife moved up to Diamond card, so it
wasn't too bad...

Last time I was going to stay at Horseshoe, they tried to give me a
smoking room cause that was all that was left...I had the check at
Harrah's Springhill and was able to get a room there...I just make
my reservations for there now...I agree, the smoking rooms are bad
and will not stay in one again...
Yes, Since I complained to the Customer support Rep. I was made aware
of that possibility? The Front Desk person never suggested that I had
any option ... like she never mentioned that I had a smoking room,
etc.!?? I have since found out that SpringHill Suites is a Non-
Smoking Hotel as is the new Hilton and it would be possible to stay
at either if there was availability. I do believe that we will try to
book the hotel at the Downs next trip instead of the Horseshoe
Hotel... the Springhill Suites at the Downs has an indoor pool and
Hot Tub but the Hilton's pool is outdoors.
Of course if they start dropping the pay tables on the games I can
afford it becomes a mute point!
