I got one too, beware of that offer the free birthday duck was a total
pain. It was certainly cute, but right after they hand it to you they
tell you you can't keep it in your room. So I went down to put in the
pool overnight and the security said that I can't keep it there
either! They were afraid that it would poop in the pool. So I
smuggled it back into my room and kept it in the bathroom. The
quacking kept waking me up all night long. Next morning I headed out
and stopped at the Ag supply store for some birdfeed. Turns out you
have to buy it in 50lb bags, what a pain it took up a whole car seat.
The duck kept pooping in the car, I had to change the newspaper every
20 mins or so. Finally I was getting sick of the duck so I did the
only responsible thing. I went to the park and handed him to some
little kid. I said here is a pet duck just for you, the kid was
definately enthused.

Quakers-

Well I saw the one white adult duck that hangs on the river last trip. It
was paired up with a "hybird" that was black and white. But they were hanging
out by the Pioneer pier.

There seems to alot more Mallards now up and down the River. The pidgeon
population has definitely diminished with the Marnell-Sher decision to eliminate
the coin dispensed feed at CB/EW.

I have seen raccoons under the Joe's Crashack extension. Just don't try to
pet those kitty cats with the white stripes on their backs.

**************
Get
