On a recent visit to the Plaza, I inquired about the coupon in the Las
Vegas Advisor Members Rewards booklet. I was told at their card center that
if your earned 1000 points on your birthday, you're eligible to get 2
times your age in freeplay. (If I recall 1000 points is $1000-in on slots
and $3000-in on VP).
Is this accurate? Has anyone been able to use this offer?

You're accurate about all that. You only get 2X if you use the coupon, otherwise you would get 1X, although you can choose to spin a wheel and you may get anywhere from 0X to 3X, so you could wind up with more. I'm not sure if you can stack the wheel with the 2X (to potentially get up to 6X), nor am I sure about what the breakdown of the spots on the wheel in order to determine how much EV or variance there is in spinning the wheel.
