Biloxi Visit (long)

This week work has taken back to Biloxi for the first time in almost
a year. Boy, have things changed (for the worse). Last visit there
was AA everywhere plus lots of multiplay with high cashback. Alas,
most of this is gone. Here is what I found:

COPA
Spent most of my time here as I am a quarter player and it is hard to
beat FPDW. The casino is OK to play in although I did "capture" 17
cockroaches at the poker bar over a 5 hour period. Nice.

They only have 1 restaurant and a buffet, both are which are either
bad or OK depending on your food preference (in my case bad). There
is no hotel for the casino.

Games here is the inventory that I found:

(4) FPDW 25c PROG machines at the poker bar. The bar has 9 machines
but only 4 have FPDW and yes they are progressive. I timed the
progressive at 0.25% (pretty easy as I was the only one playing for
much of the time).

(4) 10/7 DB PROG machines at the same poker bar.

(5) 9/6 JoB PROG machines at the poker bar. Also at another (5) at
the other upstairs Copa bar and at least (8) more on the lower level
bar (these machines were almost always busy). The Poker bar
progressive was at $1,300 the copa bar (upstairs) was at $1,700 and
the downstair bar was at reset.

(1) KBJW $1 upstairs at end of bank. Also has 10/7 DB on same
machine. I didn't see the second machine.

(4) KBJW 50c slants which also have 10/7 DB upstairs.

The 100-play machine has had all games downgraded. Nothing playable.

Cash back is still 0.25%. Multi point days do not apply to video
poker. I did not see any 10/7 DB free standing games at the 25c
level (although there were a number of 10/7/5 Bonus games). Still a
pretty good inventory.

GRAND GULFPORT
This used to be my favorite casino in Biloxi, it certainly is one of
the nicest. However, the AA is now gone. I did find one 5c AA
machine left behind. This was full pay and I am sure a mistake. As
you go up the elevator it is the machine directly in front of you in
the circular bank. Here is the inventory I found:

(1) AA 5c third floor.
(3) 9/6 JoB 50c/$1 3/5 play third floor
(3) NSUD $1 third floor.
(4) NSUD $1 slants in high roller area
(4) 9/6 JoB $1 slants in high roller area
(6) 9/7 TDB 25c 3/5/10 play on Double Pay machines

I didn't check for any BP. Cash back is still 0.33%. All the
resturants range from good to excellent.

PALACE CASINO
There is plenty of NSUD and JOB at the 25c, 50c and $1 levels
throughout the casino. Cashback is 0.33% and they have triple point
days which makes both games very good plays. Currently Wednesday is
the day of x3 points. They will also cash one competitors bounce
back coupon and give double the value in cash for all new sign ups.
I had a $40 coupon from the Grand and turned it into an easy $80.
Nice.

Cheers

I have read that the MS Gaming Commission told the casinos to remove
their AA games due to the "no 100%+" regulation in Mississippi. I
know, I know - why AA and not some other games. I'm just repeating
what I read. But it came from a reliable source, and AA did vanish
from several different casinos virtually overnight.

May I ask where you might have read this? Whether it is an online or offline publication, I'm interested in reliable sources!

From the Biloxi-One forum site. Here is a link to the thread from
last summer. You may have to copy and paste this into your browser
