Biloxi casinos

Hi folks......we will be visiting relatives this fall, and will be
fairly close to Biloxi....have looked on the VP Homepage and it would
seem that "The Presidents" casino has the best mix of games--we would
welcome any advice about this casino or the others in the area, names
of hosts to contact, etc. Thanks in advance, and feel free to
contact us privately.

Cory & Pat,

Almost every casino on the MS coast has at least some playable VP.

The only two casinos that don't have anything worthwhile (as far as I
know) are the Grand Casino in Biloxi, and Boomtown in Biloxi. The
best game that I've seen at the Biloxi Grand is 8/5 Aces and Faces
Bonus Poker, which is a 99.2% game. Even with their .33% cash back
it's still a negative game. The Boomtown has loads and loads of
video poker games, which are all horrible. I can't understand the
public's attraction to Boomtown. It's a small casino in a poor
location, with no hotel. It has really bad video poker, along with
bad blackjack games, and yet the place is always packed! Go figure.
Maybe it's the cowboy theme that attracts people.

Note on the President - It used to have four multi-game machines that
contained quarter All American, but they removed these machines
several months ago. These particular machines were old and clunky
and often broke down, so I think the Pres. just got tired of fixing
them. The best games that they have left are 9/6 JOB Progressives in
quarters and dollars (with slow meters), along with some nickle multi-
line NSUD games.

Videopokerreview.com once had a fantastic list of machines on the MS
Gulf Coast. That part of their site no longer works :frowning:

As a newbie limiting himself to JOB of the .25 flavor here's a
(very) limited rundown on machines.

Isle of Capri in Biloxi has eight or ten 9/6 JOB machines in the .25
denomination. Interestingly, one machine in a bank of six was out
of order for a short time and the night before last I noticed it is
set at 8/6. Lots of 8/5 $1 JOB and a few .25 progressive JOB paying
8/5 available. Smokey with LOW ceilings over the "good" machines.

Casino Magic (Biloxi) no 9/6 in .25 denom

Grand Casino (Biloxi) no 9/6 in .25 denom Have some (6 or 8)
assorted nickel machines- I've never seen one without someone
sitting in front of it- I noted the paytable on the Draw poker was
6/5!!!

Beau Rivage - I read somewhere (Linda Mabry's column???) that
there's a couple of .25 9/6 JOB hidden in this maze of a casino -
I'll look this afternoon.

President 9/6 triple play/five play JOB in the nickel variety last
time I was there - no .25 9/6 JOB

Grand Casino (Gulfport) no 9/6 in .25 denom

Copa Casino (NEW BARGE) - haven't been - heard it's (among) the best

Boomtown - heard this is the worst possible place - I refuse to go

Imperial Palace - some (???) .25 9/6 JOB - no touchscreens for these
also, these machines are SLOOOOOWWWW

I'll try to make a more "reliable list" over my next few trips

There are two bars downstairs. One is kind of empty most of the
time. I think there is another one upstairs also. I played at the
bar downstairs at the west end that is usually empty. I am sure I
played some 9/6 JOB there. Also there are machines ringing the bar
tables. Not sure what is on them.

I've imbedded a few comments below listing some machines that you

Comment: I'm pretty sure that the Isle has some 9/6 $1 JOB machines
also.

Casino Magic (Biloxi) no 9/6 in .25 denom

Comment: Check the bank of progressive machines upstairs. They have
about a dozen .25 9/6 progressives.

Grand Casino (Biloxi) no 9/6 in .25 denom Have some (6 or 8)
assorted nickel machines- I've never seen one without someone
sitting in front of it- I noted the paytable on the Draw poker was

Comment: Best machines at this Grand are Aces + Faces Bonus Poker
(99.2% game).

Beau Rivage - I read somewhere (Linda Mabry's column???) that

Comment: Right. You have to hunt for them, but they are there.

President 9/6 triple play/five play JOB in the nickel variety last
time I was there - no .25 9/6 JOB

Comment: .25 9/6 progressives in bartop format, both upstairs and
downstairs. The progressive meter on these is apparently very
sloowwww, since everytime I walk by these machines the royal is
something like $1043.87.

Grand Casino (Gulfport) no 9/6 in .25 denom

Comment: This Grand does have some 5 line multi-denom. 9/6 Jacks
games in .50 and $1 denominations. When you select .25 cents on
these machines, the paytable is downgraded.

Copa Casino (NEW BARGE) - haven't been - heard it's (among) the best

Comment: Lots of .25 9/6 progressives in the bartop machines.

Boomtown - heard this is the worst possible place - I refuse to go

Comment: You heard right!

Imperial Palace - some (???) .25 9/6 JOB - no touchscreens for

these

also, these machines are SLOOOOOWWWW

Comment: Also, they used to have a couple of 5 line nickle 9/6 JOB
machines. Not sure if they are still there.

I'm not sure but I think $1 games are Full House Bonus Progressive.

In a bank of 12 Game Kings in front of Brew Pub are 5 machines with
9/6 schedule.

All 3 bars upstairs and down, plus another bank on west side
downstairs.
