Last year at the Silverton, I found a bunch of quarters in a bucket next
machine over.
No, I didn't keep/play them. I got paranoid because of the old (possibily
urban legend) Trop trick of putting 3 x $100 in the bottom of a change
bucket--and then prosecuting as a felony.
So I showed them to a slotnik. She seemed irritated at my "honesty" because
she had to call a supervisor over. The supervisor seemed even more irate,
because she had to report it to security. I gracefully exited before security
came. I didn't want to be "back-roomed" for pulling an "Honest Abe" caper!
Yeah, I think all the factotums and major-domos would have preferred me to
just keep the money and shut up. But who knows? And it's not worth risking
86'ed or prosecuted. (BTW--if you report found money to Metro, they'll give it
to you if it's unclaimed after a timely period. If you report it to a
casino--the casino gets to keep it).
So now I have something else to be paranoid about. Whether I'll get busted
for accepting a bogus $100 bill from the casino. It's not an entirely
irrational fear--the cashier at the Frontier once showed me several bogus bills that
had been passed off to them.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy those magic marker type anti-counterfeit
pens?
