There are probably three software products to consider. (I do not think
Optimum VP is out yet.)
Frugal Video Poker ($39.95 CD Manufacturers site is frugalgamber.biz)
This is the best product as it not only lets you practice about 98%+ of
available video poker games but also will produce strategy charts. You can
then analyze close plays with the playing portion of the software and
modify charts to make them more accurate.
Winpoker 6.0.5 ($29.95 Disk or download Manufacturers site zamzone.com)
This only does the playing portion
Video Poker Strategy Master ($29.95 Disk or download at zamzone.com)
This only produces charts. Do not confuse with Video Poker Strategy Pro
which is garbage.
The charts produced by VPSM are more accurate than the charts produced by
Frugal VP but require you to buy two products.
Both Winpoker and Frugal VP allow you to practice. Frugal VP has the
additional feature of allowing you to practice against the chart as opposed
to only perfect play.
Both products will analyze any game as to payback percentage and variance.
Frugal VP covers a few games that Winpoker does not. (WMS Multi Pay, Super
Double Bonus Deuces (via patch)). Frugal also allows for sequential royals
which Winpoker does not. Neither Winpoker or Frugal VP covers different 3
of a kind games (Nevada Bonus, High Fives).
I would recommend Frugal VP but all these products are excellent.
