Best VP in Town!

If you have the bankroll to play for dollars,(and you're going to
need at least a royal for the long run) the bar upstairs by the
craps tables at Greektown Casino, has the best video poker in town.
All the games are progressive, and all the games are 99% or better.

   DDB--------99.9% (10/6/4--FH/FL/ST)
   DW---------99.7% (NSUD)
   JB---------99.5%
   ACES BONUS-99.5%
   BONUS------99.1%

   And that's in addition to quarter and up Pick'Em at 99.9%,(non-
progressive)and a progressive Bonus Deuces (in the poker room) at
nearly 99%.

   I can forgive the past injustices committed by Greektown against
vp players,(they banned a bunch for winning too much) but that was
with the old slots boss. The new slots boss seems to know gamblers a
hell of a lot better than old "Sock-it-to-em Sal". They are one of
the few casinos, anywhere that I know of that actually has given
something back to the vp players rather than screw them over once
again like Motor City Casino just did. I know I have been very
critical of Detroit casinos in the past and written a lot of nasty
things about them, but in my humble opinion:

   "Greektown Casino is the best place to play video poker in
Detroit...Period!"

Not that it is going to get me on a plane to Detroit anytime soon,
but it is refreshing to see some decent paytables in my former state
of residence. But I have to ask: 10/6 DDB is frequently quoted as a
100% plus game. How is it that the game in Detroit is 99.9%??

   Double Bonus and Double Double Jackpot Bonus games can be over
100%, but I've never found a standard DDB game over 100%, (except
for GT"s) not even in Vegas. A full pay DDB game usually pays
98.98%. Greektown's DDB game has a pay scale of:

   4000 (PROGRESSIVE)
    200 SF (CHANGE FROM 250)
   2000 A's+
    800 A's
    800 2,3,4's+
    400 2,3,4
    250 5-K
     50
     30
     20
     15
      5
      5

I see. By nicking the SF from 250 down to 200, they knock the game
from 100.07% to just slightly below 100%. Very clever. I guess it
will hereafter be called Greektown 10/6 DDB, because I have never
seen that paytable anywhere else. Being originally from Michigan, I
realize the rules that are in place regarding 100% games. But I
would think that it doesn't take much of a move in the progressive
to get the game above 100%.

On a related note, did I hear correctly that Greektown has decided
not to move the casino? I can't help but laugh as it seems like it
has been years since they all promised permanent casinos, yet it
doesn't sound like one shovel has been put in the ground.
