I find Video Blackjack has less fluctuation than Video Poker for cashing out Free Play.
Ideally the 6/5 single deck version with 5 people playing.
But a smaller denomination (0.05/0.25 with no double/split, flat BJ) helps more than better rules (surrender, 1.5 BJ) for small amounts of money.
Blackjacks are only ~1/22 hands...
If playing Video Poker, multi-line has less fluctuation.

Usually I like to find a game that I am playing anyways.
