If he just wants to grind out 1,800 points and minimize his potential
loss I'd stick to the fewest number of nickel hands that would let him
put through $18,000 in an acceptable amount of time. I've done 2,000
points there numerous times within 8 hours by playing 25 line nickels,
and I'm pretty slow.

I agree, nickels on the 9/6 50-plays with as many unique deals that you can
stand will minimize the risk for this $18k coin-in adventure.
Other things to consider-
Smoking or Non-smoking for the 50-plays or even the $1/2 Jacks or NSUD.
50-plays are fun.
They are doing daily drawings again. Are you going to collect drawing
tickets? For the last promo ending Nov 30th, a $50 VP hit gets you a
pain-in-the-ass/fill out by hand ticket for a very low value payoff. The value lies in the
invite back for the Grand Finale December 14th. Kind of worthless for strong
players, unless you can work out a deal with a low roller. They probably
fired-up another promo by now.
If you choose to load up the 50-plays, stop at dimes for 47 hands. Most
players would prefer a $1175 hit. Two vpFREE members have admitted their error in
fully loading up and getting dealt a straight-flush.
Bonus Credits have beeen diminished, but what game/machine combo will max
this out?
Is there going to be a tag-team playing on the same card? Breaks are
important.
