Best LV Casinos for .25 cent VP

Hi All

I'm headed to Las Vegas for the Labor Day Weekend. I've been studying
up on my VP skills as well as watching this forum. I'm staying in the
El Cortez downtown and plan on doing most of my gambling in the
downtown area (lower table minimums for BJ and I'm assuming more .25
cent VP machines)

I'll be looking for anything 9/6 and above for VP machines (I do love
to play Deuces Wild)

My question is, what are the top casinos downtown for best odds VP
machines right now (and maybe a strip recomendation - I'll be going to
the strip late at night possibly)

Thanks and wish me Luck!!!

You should try to make it to the Palms. They have great dueces. (You will
love the progressive!!)

I would seriously consider doing the majority (if not all) of your play at the casino you are staying at if you hope to get as much in comps as possible and receive good offers in the future.

Main Street Station has .25 9/6 Jacks on all the bartop machines.

Tip your bartenders and the drinks flow freely while playing.

Make sure to sign up for a slot club card, as this entitles you to scratch cards for each 4 of a kind or better, and you may even get offers in the mail.

Is it true you have to pay for drinks if you sit at a bartop machine but you can be 10 feet away at VP bank of machines and the drinks are free (tips not withstanding)? If that's true, seems kinda dumb, maybe some kind of state law?

Also at the Gold Coast at the Sports Bar, the last I checked mid July.

I know that drinks are free at least at the sports book bar at Wynn. Was just there four weeks ago and free microbrew drafts while playing dollar 9/6 jacks.

You might check out Binions. With new ownership they are trying to
attract more people to their casino, and they are paying better odds
on everything to get that accomplished. Check it out and let us know.

I stopped by Binions today. All the old coin droppers have been
replaced by the new fancy wide/flat screen slant tops. I didnt check
every single game and machine but those I did check were horrible.
Bonus poker was 7/5, DDB was 8/5, DB was sub par(I think it was 9/5/4.)

Just a follow up to my Las Vegas, Labor Day trip. Went to all of the
reccommended .25 cent places downtown (El Cortez, Vegas Club (ick!)
and Binions) To make a long story short...you've got to be constantly
scanning the screens for the best payouts. I've noticed that many of
the end machines on a bank have the highest payout rates?

I was down about $500 by Monday afternoon and just about ready to get
the shuttle to the airport. Walked down to Main Street Station...ended
up playing a $1 Bonus (maybe DB) and hit Four Aces for $800!!!! I've
got to tell you...that was so exciting!!! I went from down to up in a
split second. Was so giddy I forgot to take a photo. I immediately
walked, had a big meal, got the shuttle and left (plus I did a standby
at the airport and got an extra $400 in Delta airline credits (^-^)

I love leaving Vegas with their money Wheeee!!! Thanks to all who
helped me and GOOD LUCK!!!

(Next time I'll get the Royal!)

.Bart, you were living my dream! So glad to hear of someone LEAVING LV with money! It does happen, but not that often, I fear. I LOVE downtown, & the MSS is my hang-free rooms, vouchers-& I'm not a big spender by any means. They do treat my right. Great Sushi/MicroBrews to boot. Happy for you my friend, neil fahey

Work as if you don't need the money, dance as if there's no one watching, sing as if there's no one listening. Neil

As you discovered, it often takes just one hand to end up a winner. The bad
news is when you chase after that one hand and it doesn't come. Congrats.

best time to get a royal is at the airport about an hour before your flight leaves, just in time to get the hand pay and W-2 and board. I've had two trips where I got a big win like that about 24 hrs before my flight out---man is it torture not playing that last 24 hrs so you can leave booking a win!

YEah, tell me about it. I ended up having a big meal, catching the
shuttle to the airport almost immediately after I hit the $800. Please
kept telling me "You've got to get to teh airport 3 hours early
because of teh holiday weekend"...I had to watch people playing VP in
the airport. Needless to say I did'nt see many big "Pay outs" on teh
screens.

The guy at the CLS shuttle desk said that the airport machines are the
same odds as the big casinos. Bullshi* The best I could find was 8/5
on Bonus. I did end up playing & loosing about $30. I also did a
standby and got $400 credit on Delta airlines...but had to wait about
4 hours staring at the machines. oh well!

that 4 hrs would have cost me well over $400----I got a $4,000 royal at the airport, was playing $20 in quarters then we decided to eat before flight so I switched to dollars trying to play it off. The key is to WANT to lose quickly.

I know the security has gotten ridiculous, but do you really need to
get the airport a day in advance now?
