Bermuda cruise Aug 4 -7 star signature event

This special cruise was offered to 7 stars as one choice of a signature event, instead of a party weekend at a Harrahs casino this year, and booked up extremely fast. A few people got put on an overflow cruise in Sept., but a lot of people who wanted it didn't get it. Everyone is getting a normal balcony on the Breakaway from NYC. There was a bit of confusion and wrong information along the way, but it looks like Harrahs is really treating us well, with one night in NYC before the cruise, a cocktail party the night before the cruise, breakfast morning of cruise, transport to cruise from hotel, three free signature meals onboard, $200 room credit, bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and most importantly (unlike a NCL cruise certificate), they are paying port charges, fees, and gratuities. Plus a pass for Unlimited Beverages (booze and soda onboard, limited with certain restrictions like drink must be a well drink or under $8 a glass), good at any bar, not just casino bar. And some extras like backstage Rockettes.

The balconies apparently are pretty much spread around the ship, from what I've seen from friends, everything from an aft balcony to midships, on various levels. Not haven or spa rooms.

All in all it seems they are giving us a lot more than previous signature events I've gone to in Tahoe and New Orleans.

I'm looking forward to going in just a couple days.

Sounds like an excellent deal. Apparently when i called it was late enough to be full, but early enough that they hadnt decided to do an overflow cruise. Or the guy I spoke to was just clueless because I was never informed about that. I already have three Breakaway trips for this year so I doubt I'll try to get into the overflow cruise.

The ultimate beverage package limits are (if I remember correctly) $8.50 for cocktails, $10 for a glass of wine, $5.50 for bottled beer, and $5.95 for draft beer. Them giving it as part of the package is pretty sweet since you are normally charged around $50 per person per day plus a 15% gratuity on top. I generally add an extra dollar per drink as tip as I had heard that 15% doesn't get spread around as accurately as you would hope/expect. In fact the whole thing is run a little strangely, with you receiving bills for every drink and it going on your folio only to be taken off the last night. The time I bought the package, they missed taking off one drink. I never bothered to argue over one drink so I don't know how easy that process is to get it removed. It's a relatively new program and only available on certain ships so maybe they are still working out the kinks. I probably wouldn't buy it again, but if it's free, that's another story

I hope you all enjoy the cruise!

seedub,

Sound like you managed to call to reserve within a small window after the first cruise filled and before CZR decided to add the 2nd sailing, given just how strong the offer response was. (I feel fortunate that a good fiend put the "bee in my bonnet" to book immediately, rather than "when I got around to it", as would be my usual style

I'm very excited about the sailing this weekend and the opportunity to catch with many casino friends we haven't encountered in some time (particularly those from AC, who we've dearly missed since moving South 2 yrs ago!)

Everything suggests that CZR is putting their best foot forward with the cruise arrangements ... Bev and I are thoroughly impressed (notwithstanding modest hiccups in some of the booking details).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that players will provide enthusiastic feedback to CZR, rather than nitpick modest problems encountered. (It's always beneficial to alert people to what can be better handled next time, but if that's the core of your communication, there may not be a "next time".
