Belterra, Indiana update

toddr54 reported that on 5-1-06 that C/I requirement/point had
changed from $8/pt. to $14.70/pt. I was somewhat skeptical,
particularly of the odd number. HOWEVER, I just returned from
Belterra on 5-13 and toddr54 was right on the money. I only
played 9/6 JOB and the C/I changed slightly (at the same
denomination), perhaps based on the speed of my play, perhaps
based on the partial point accumulation, but here is what I
found:

        .05 9/6 JOB 50-play: $14.70/pt.
        .05 9/6 JOB 100-play: $14.62-14.65/pt.
        .25 9/6 JOB 3-play: $12.06/pt.
        1.00 9/6 JOB single line: $12.36/pt.

The digital display on the vp machines used to have two
columns of numbers. The first column was the countdown to
each point (For example, that column started at 800 on the .01
machine and counted down to zero at which time you had earned
one point which then showed on the second column). The second
column showed the number of points you had earned on that day.
Well Belterra has eliminated the first "countdown" column. By
my calculations, Belterra has now reduced their cash back from
.125% to a range of .068-.083%. YMMV. Of course I did not
play all denominations, nor all games. Maybe the games with
lower ERs or playing short-coin produces more points. It's
still a nice place, but the VP is becoming less attractive.
