Belmont Picks

Hi Don:
Exactly right. So, if you're going to wager on BB, a place or show bet is
probably the way to go. He very easily could pay more in those spots than to
win. A very wise member of this board makes a number of large place and show
bets on big favorite in big races ... and does quite well, I might add.

At the moment, Big Brown is 2-5, but considering how many people make $2
bets on the Triple Crown hopeful with no intent of cashing the ticket
(didn't somebody buy something like $2 million worth the last time a
horse won the Derby and Preakness, with the intent of selling them
later?), I wouldn't be surprised if he's bet down to the minimum 1-20 by
post time.

With Casino Drive out of the race, who will contend? Maybe Macho
Again. At 20 to 1 its enticing. He came in second to Big Brown in
the Preakness, and his new jockey is Garrett Gomez, this years
leading money winner and last years Jockey of the Year. You never
know what might happen to Big Brown on any given day.
