It's great the Belle added the four full pay multi poker machines
upstairs. I started playing them last month after reading about
them here. I haven't received any offers from the Belle based on my
play yet but I'll keep the board posted. I play Dueces Wild.
Regarding the drink situation the original poster noted on these
machines. He's right, the drink service upstairs at the non=smoking
section doesn't just suck, it's non-existant. I actually had one
slot attendant tell me the area had no drink service.
Based on that and a frustration level spawned from a smoker playing
the machines (and suffering nicotine fits for it) and fast becoming
sober while doing it Friday night I talked to 'Debbie' the Belle's
refreshment manager. As per Debbie, the area has no drink service
because she hasn't been able to find a girl to hire to cocktail that
area.
Yep, you read that right.
Apparantly since Debbie is short on staff this area gets no cocktail
waitress. That's truely a shame since the machines have been nice
to me. Debbie really didn't seem to give a shit nor seem receptive
to actually having existing staff service this area.
In all honesty, the area has a cocktail waitress about 1/4 of the
time, mostly during the day.
Anyways, the Edgewater had been throwing a lot of free rooms at
me...basically one stay of 5 days per month which includes
weekends. That's greatly appreciated since I'm a local and free
room offers often don't come to me. This started in December I
think.
The River Palms has started mailing me a monthly cash back check
based on the previous weeks play. So far it has ranged from $5-15.
No other offers except a birthday month free dinner and room deal
for next Thursday from the Palms.
So, bounce back from the River Palms, free nights from the
Edgewater, great machines but crap drink service at the Belle.
