I was at the player's club at Bellagio this morning and "overheard"
several conversations with some high rolling players who were trying
to redeem their free play for the year. There was a promotion that if
you played 50% more than last year you got all your cashback again in
free play. You had from Dec. 1 to Dec 26 to redeem it. Well several
BIG players (I mean more than $20k each in cashback!) were at the
booth this morning trying to redeem their free play on the first day.
One guy had been trying since 12:15 am and this was around 9am. The
booth ladies were telling all of them that they were only going to
give them $5000 and they had to make another trip for each additional
$5000. They blamed this on "computer problems". One man asked if
Bellagio planned to pay for his flight on the next trip if they were
forcing him to come back but they said no.
I only had $168 in free play so it didn't effect me but boy would I
be sore!
