Belated Trip Report

Well folks I have finally got around to posting my Thanksgiving trip report.
As usual I will post by Casino visited.

Transportation : Flew in by Air Canada, totally uneventful flight (just the
way I like it). Left on time and arrived early.
Rented car through Alamo using American Casino guide website coupons, Very
fast service using fastlane desk ,
with upgrade coupon got a midsize for around $100 per week (plus the usual
BS taxes and charges)......

NOTE: Alamo and Dollar were the same rate for a 1 week rental, but
Alamo charges 1/7 of the weekly rate
for additional days, while Dollar charges 1/5. Since I was there for more
than a week Alamo was the better choice.

Change in Alamo procedure.... they used to give you a specific car, they now
do it like Dollar and let you pick out your
own car from all the ones there in that class. Alamo mid sizes were Olds
Alero and Dodge Stratus , I picked a Stratus
and was very happy with the vehicle.

Suncoast - stayed here for 2 nights . I found everything to be exactly the
same as last time (this is a good thing) .
Donna Sinclair (slot host) comped my room upfront, and gave me a comp for
the Mexican and Italian restaurants.
I was solo this trip. I was very pleased with both the food and service at
both restaurants. The quarter machine inventory
seemed to be the same as last time. The reports of diminished comps were
not apparent to me ( I play around 7 k per
day at the Suncoast) , I also include some sub %100 machines in my play ( I
like Bonus Deuces - sue me), at the
Suncoast I play Bonus Deuces; Full pay deuces; and 10/7 DB .

Sam's Town - stayed here for 3 nights. I found the casino to be
substantially the same as last trip, although they had removed
the quarter 10/7 db coinless machines from the new area. I ate at the
Mexican restaurant and the coffee shop here, the Mexican restaurant had both
good food and service, at the coffee shop the service has improved to
average the food has remained average.
Most of the daily specials in the coffee shop are good value. They still
have the fast coinless slant top fp coinless deuces in
the new area, sometimes these machines were very busy. At Sam's Town I play
Bonus Deuces; Full pay deuces; 10/7 DB;
Super Double Bonus and one eyed jacks. Major and only complaint ... new Air
conditioning system only allows a minimum
temperature setting of 68 degrees ( too warm for this canuck) .

Fiesta Henderson - stayed here for 4 nights. Inventory changes ..... have
added 10/6 ddb to some of their multi-game full pay
machines, but there are only 6 of these machines ( also have deuces,
jokers,db, and loose deuces on them). Lots of fp deuces in nickels and
quarters in this casino. I like the Fiesta but the place needs a better
smoke extraction system. Ate at the buffet, still pretty good, coffee shop,
the same ( could use a little more variety on the menu). Ate at the steak
house twice, food and service were very
good both times - great value in a steak house. At the Fiesta I play Bonus
Deuces; Full pay deuces; 10/7 DB; full pay Jokers;
and 10/6 ddb. If anyone is looking for a Host at the Fiesta Henderson, I
would suggest Sandra Fischer, personable, helpful, really nice
person.

Green Valley Ranch - just played here a little, they had a great free jacket
promotion, earned a nice jacket on 3 hours play. I really
like this place but the room comps are way beyond us quarter players. I did
not spot any negative inventory changes here, in fact they added another
bank of Optimum play machines to their inventory.

Gold Coast - just played here one afternoon. Met Nicolle LaBelle (slot host), she comped us the
buffet after only about 4k action, and seemed like a very nice host. We played FP deuces, bonus deuces, 10/7/80 db and some pick-em. I loved the Bally Gamemakers (very fast). I will have to
try staying here on an upcoming trip.

Best gambling run - Sam's Town after catching the ducks on a Bonus deuces
machine had 20 credits left and decided to play them off before going to
dinner - hit a Royal on second hand played (really enjoyed the dinner).

That's about it till next trip.

Regards
A.P.
