I just did a check with Trip Advisor and discovered 3 mentions of bed bugs in
reviews of Mohegan Sun over the past year and a half so I guess Mohegan Sun
is no stranger to bed bugs, or vice versa. This is probably true for ALL
hotels, for that matter.
1. what is a multi billion casino doing with unchanged beds and bugs on the
mattress...heres my experience..we checked in, beautiful, clean, or so we
thought, we wanted a roll in the sack before going to play, undid the bed and we
had pubic hair in our bed!!!! we demanded everything on the bed changed
including the mattress pad, and we watched to our horror we saw bugs under the
mattress pad!! we refused to stay and they gave us an "upgraded" room for
free....nice little cover up, we slept in our clothes on top of the bed...don.t think we
will be returning.
2. mohegan sun has bed bugs, they were crawling through my sheets!!! I am
horrified and never going back!
3. bedbugs ate us alive...after complaining we were ignored..after e-mailing,
we were ignored...never again
I also saw several other complaints of stained comforters and bed linens,
which I now know is a classic telltale sign of bed bugs. (I have become quite an
expert in the past 48 hours!)
I found some good info on the internet on how to check for bed bugs in a
hotel room. I will pass it along in case anyone plans to stay at M.S. anytime
soon. Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Concerned travelers may want to check their bed for telltale signs of the
bugs -- a common practice years ago. This would entail examining the bedsheets
and upper and lower seams of the mattress. Some professionals also suggest
removal and examination behind the headboard, a frequent hiding place for the bugs
in hotel rooms. If bed bugs are detected, travelers can request another room.
Concerned travelers may also want to elevate suitcases off the floor (e.g. on
a luggage stand). Inspecting or vacuuming luggage upon arriving home is less
useful since it is hard to detect bed bugs inside a suitcase.
