Can anyone advise me as to how closely or (identically) Win Poker
approximates the vp played in a casino setting? Are the payoffs
exactly the same as casino machines with the same schedules? Has
anyone proof of this?
I practice extensively on my laptop, especially prior to Nevada
trips, and have played over 2,000,000 hands of WP. It seems that,
while the program also goes through prolonged "cold" spells from
time to time, it's also gives me a better overall payback that I've
gotten in a real casino situation.
I'd be interested in the experienve of others.

I think there is a small descripency in DW if you play short coin
that would give you slightly more than in a casino, but in general
this is what you should remember.
Most games in WP are the "full pay" version. If you are not playing
those same pay schedules in the casino, then you should change the
paytable on WP to match those of the games you play.
Although this question should probably be put forth on the winpoker
forum instead of here, I'll give it a shot.
Winpoker uses a different RNG method than you will find in real
casinos. Instead of running constantly winpokers' RNG is seeded
(initialized) during program startup and all hands are predetermined
at that time. I believe this has somewhat of a smoothing effect
(shorter hot/cold spells). In my opinion this is actually good for a
tutor program like winpoker. In any event, the long term payback
should be the same for the same pay tables.

All RNGs are approximate or pseudoRNGs. Programs for sale probably
use slightly less efficient RNGs than the gaming industry. As stated
the home product uses a seeded start and may not constantly cycle
through numbers. With out a statistical comparison of results there
is no measure of how close the for sale products match the real
machines, but they do sell alot.
