I received a letter today from Barbary Coast GM and VP Kerri Burke. I had written to her on 12/9/05 about the Drai's comp offer. BC had mailed me an offer for dinner for 2 at Drai's. After finishing the meal, I was presented with the check and the waiter telling me that the comp was only good for the first $100. Nothing on the comp and nothing mentioned at the slot booth.
Well, Kerri saw it my way. In the letter, she apologized for "not having proper disclosure information clearly stated on the Drai's coupon ". She also said that " in lieu of our oversight, enclosed you will find a reimbursement check for $106.00, which covers your out of pocket charges for your meal".
I sent the letter on 12/9, in the evening. It was received at Barbary Coast on 12/12/05 and I had a reply at my mailbox today on 12/20/05. That's pretty quick response.
Barbary Coast is back on my good list. I still think Ozzie Morales, the slot club manager handled the whole situation poorly. However, Kerri's quick reply puts my faith back in BC. Kerri did copy Ozzie on the letter so maybe he'll see how you should treat a good customer.
