Maybe it's an experiment. Maybe they want to see if there is a big drop off
in how many people will use the machines after the cut. That would be a
good place to do it, because people who don't smoke would be less inclined to
go to a smoking area and play the 9/6 machines. They would probably just
play the lower paytable if they are not very knowledgeable, or they would
play the 8/5 Bonus Poker machines in the Casino of the Sky or just refrain
from playing altogether.
