Barona

Is anyone aware of the current best games in the High Limit room
at Barona Valley Ranch? I'm aware of what the vpFREE database says. Is
that up to date?

Pretty much. There are a couple single line $100 FPDW and four $25 2/3/10
play KBJW that aren't listed. Don't spread it around.

Cogno

Nope...The SAB is gone, and the best game now is the NSUD in various
configurations and denominations. They had Triple Deuces briefly on a
$1-$2-$5-$10 denom Spin Deluxe machine, but that's gone too. They
still have $5 8-6 Jacks or Bonus Deluxe with a 1% meter.

CA in general has good VP, but nothing what I would really call
profitable. Four ok plays come to mind, but they're in four different
parts of the state, and it's a big state, and two of them I can fairly
say are literally in the middle of nowhere. Most of the casinos have
NSUD or SAB at some denom, but it's usually $5 and up. A lot of
schlepping around for nickel and dime opportunities, if you ask me.

Gee, is that all? If they only had a 2% cash club, I might make
a trip down there.

Last time I was there - they kind of hand a 0.2% cash club, it used
to be 0.1% and then with enough points another 0.1% in Visa Gift
Cards, but you needed a host for the Visa cards. Now last time they
said no more Visa Cards - which I think might have been an
unofficial part of the program, but they gave me cash equal to
around 0.2% through a host, but I had a big loss. They also called
me and told me that I could get $700 cash just for showing up - I
have been crushed at Barona. Yet the mail from them has dried up -
very strange.

Bob you meant 0.2% not 2% right, because at 2%, the people at this
site would make them insolvent.

I have seen reports about the removal of the SAs since I was last
there -or maybe it was just a downgrade of the paytable. I missed
the $100 FPDW if they were there.

You provided some interesting information in your note about the slot
club at Barona. For that I thank you.

My slot club comment was totally facetious. It was a "response-in-kind"
to Cogno's $100 FPDW "information", which was clearly false and he
didn't think for a second that I would take him seriously. $100 FPDW
would be a thousand-dollar-per-hour or so opportunity (depending on how
fast hand-pays were handled) in the player's favor before any slot club
at all. Players would be all over it, and even if a casino put it in,
they would decide VERY QUICKLY that it was a bad idea and remove it.
(You may remember kind of commotion Wynn's $1 FPDW caused. There would
be fewer players interested in a $100 FPDW machines, but a few
well-financed ones could wreak havoc on a casino's bottom line.)

I'm sorry if you took Cogno's and my comments more seriously than they
were intended.

The cb is currently .1, with the occasional "bring a new player we'll
give you 2x cb" coupon. There is some bounceback, at about .4 to $100,
every 3 weeks or so.
