Barona, San Diego, cuts back on $100 gift cards

Barona was giving out $100 visa gift cards for about every $50,000 of
play on top of their .1% cashback. They now offer the same.1% but only
about $100 for every $200,000 in play. It is now payable in cash or
gift cards.

I don't know about this. I was recently there and got my cashback
plus $200 is gift cards for something over $200,000 in play. I think
they judge the gift cards now on a monthly basis. I also lost a lot
of money. I have only played Barona a few times. Do you think the
machines are fair? I know they are IGT - but maybe they changed the
chip? I play a lot of VP - I undestand negative flux - but the
number of times while playing triple play I failed to fill out a
four cash flush was statistically astonishing. I just started
playing there and am concerned because they are self-regulated. They
would claim they are regulated, but that is a joke - they are
soverign - they do whatever they want

Random often doesn't feel random. I'm up hugely this year at
Barona. --- In vpFREE_California@yahoogroups.com, "caplatinum"

That is good to know - that means you are to the right of the curve
and I am to the left of the curve - I'm glad somebody who was played
there more than once is winning. I feel more confident now to give
them another shot. Do you have any favorite machines there?

I'm glad SOMEONE's winning there.
Personally - I haven't had as much 'luck' at Barona.
I'm probably right ON the curve (so with there slightly
under 100% games, am slightly under 100%).

Of course, I played mainly .25, and very little $1 and up,
where the better games are.

I've NEVER found the comps to 'compensate' for the shortfall in the
games, and am happy with benefits (Bounceback mailers) that I receive
from Valley View, Viejas, and Sycuan (mainly LIVE table poker play at
the latter 2).

Thanks for the posts, and keep us all abreast of how Barona treats
it's 'Diamond'/higher tier customers.

PS - My friend's dad is a high ($100+) PaiGow table player and
receives similar perks. I'll have to ask him more about his
hours/week, etc. but I'm assuming it's on par with your 200K play/6
months.
