Barbary Coast downgrade

How sorry I am to hear this has happened. Not entirely unexpected,
but I had very much hoped this one little gem of a strip casino
would escape the ax.
The BC has always been my "home casino" and my husband and I were
very fond of it. We learned our video poker there on the "wall
deuces" and the "yellow deuces" machines. My very first comps came
from BC and it was so exciting. Over the years we had hit numerous
deuces and an occasional royal. Our rooms and meals were generously
comped. I delighted in the showers as I always would open the
window above the tub and look out at the strip and feel on top of
the world. Now and then we would rate a meal at Michael's--without
a doubt the nicest restaraunt I have ever been in. The staff was
always gracious. Most of all, through the years it was the little
casino that I met most of the vp players that I have become
acquainted with and in some cases friends of. Shirl, Stan, Marylou,
Pete are just a few. It was small enough that there would always be
someone there you had met before on another trip, and there would be
the renewing of acquaintance and another person to celebrate wins
and lament losses with.
Guess there is not much point in continuing with this reminisince,
but just could not help waxing a bit nostalgic over the loss of this
little place.
