Bar top machines

Hi vpFREE Administrator:

I am a member of this group and I'm writing from work. I would
like to submit this as a question of the day if it is a decent
question: Why does it seem to me that most, if not all, bar top
machines in Las Vegas casinos are video poker or keno and not
slot machines? I never play slot machines, so I may
subconciously avoid bars that have slot machines, but I can't
recall ever seeing one. I'd like to know if my observation is
true, and if true, why vp machines but no slots?

I've seen many bartop machines that have a slot option.

It is well known, but I guess I must repeat it: video poker players are
known as heavy drinkers. :slight_smile: It just makes sense to move the VP players
as close as possible to the liquor supply. It also cuts out the middle
man (cocktail waitress). This move alone allows the casino to hire at
least one less cocktail waitress, thus cutting down on employee issues
such as staffing problems, lunch breaks etc. It is simply an efficiency
and cost saving move on the part of the casino.

Beside this issue, they never could figure out how to install
the "wheel" of the Wheel of Fortune slot machine on the bar.
