Bankroll - What's the best way(s) to handle or carry 10k or more?

"For those of us who may be naive and/or uninitiated in the ways of "mid-roller" gambling, are "markers" the same thing as establishing a "line of credit" with a particular casino?"

yes.

If you don't want to establish a line of credit you can also deposit
money at the cage and take markers. This is convenient if you do not
live in Vegas, you can wire $20k from your bank to the cage and use
markers. Then get a cashier check when it's time to go home.

Of course if you live in Vegas and have a large BR it's extremely
useful to get safety deposit boxes at the casino. You can keep
whatever you want in them. If you play poker or table games at high
stakes this is beneficial since you don't generate at CTR until you
cash in the chips. You could keep 30k in chips in your box and cash
out a few thousand per day.

Is there any "downside" to establishing a line of credit with a particular casino? Are there
any "gotcha's" one should be aware of?
