I usually put a portion of my bankroll in $100's in my pocket for traveling.
The rest I have in travelers checks and pack in my carry-on or suitcase. I
have the serial numbers on my person and another copy at home. That way, if
they are lost or stolen...
The best trips are those that I do not need to cash in any travelers checks
