Bankroll - Risk of Ruin

Okay, I thought again. And you most certainly need four times as much BR for
the same ROR, not sixteen times, as you write.

So, did I.

Jim Wolf has a great program in WVP, and I use it all of the time -
sometimes wrongly.

WVP reports RoR bankroll in $. Cindy Liu used to have a RoR
calculator that reported in RoR in number of bets and you'd have to
multiply the number returned by the bet size to get bankroll. Being
used to using Cindy's calculator, I went ahead and stupidly
multiplied WVP's result by bet size. Not the thing to do.

So, I've got egg on my face on this one. I'll give myself 40 lashes
later.

FWIW, Cindy's ER/bankroll/ROR calculator is still intact; just moved
from gamblingtools.com. It can now be found at:

As far as "egg on my face" goes, it should be apparent that on
occasion I invite a little egg throwing in my direction by willingly
exposing my potential ignorance -- I consider it a coup when I can
draw someone out to set me straight.
