Bankroll requirements & Advantage drinking

From: "AJ" <mile_5280@yahoo.com>
How do X and BR relate? Is X = (BR/BET)*100?

Seems like BR=9999 not X=9999 maximizes
((1+(101/BR))^.5)*((1-(99/BR))^.5)

Seems like setting BR (x?) to 4999.5 brings F to 1, not 0. Did you
mean that it brings (F-1)/BR to 0?

How many of you are like me when you see this?? your first reaction is WTF?

This has been a real interesting thread - to maybe three people. The rest
of us are just not able to join in. We do stupid things when we come to
Vegas;

We study on the computer and play the chosen game best we can.
We try to eat and stay for free as often as we can.
We watch shows - for free.
We have FITR as often as allowed (at least in my case)
We sit by the pool, drink, sightsee, drink some more, play lots of VP, and
then drink some more. Then we go for more FITR.

Now, what exactly is the "Ultra Factor" and how does it relate to this
topic? The best new beer on the market is now Michelob Ultra. 95 calories,
2.5? grams of carbohydrates, and best of all - 4.2% alcohol. Plus it really
tastes good. As I read all the posts on this I came up with this theory -
the only way I could make sense of this was to drink about 10 Ultra's - then
I could really get into what was being said.

You math guys blow me away - I am envious of anyone who can understand an
argument like this - much less have an opinion! So I guess I'll have to do
what Pete said - play good games, get the goodies - and drink lots of Ultra.
That is what an advantage drinker does - play good games and get shitfaced
doing it. Right Jeff?

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how
to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day."

"It's lonely at the top, but you eat better."

"I've learned that you can get by on charm for
about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better
have a big dick or huge tits."

It amazes me that many people seem to think that the only threads
that are appropriate are ones which interest them and they can
follow. Some further seem to think it is interesting to report that
they are not interested. This seems a little a high school student
walking from gym class to autoshop yelling into the calculus
class, "What's all them stupid squiggly symbols? I learned to cypher
in 6th grade and that's all I need to know. That looks boring!" Why
not just walk by quietly, i.e., hit the delete key?

Did you ever consider that the people who write the software that
allows people with virtually no math skills to enjoy tremendous
financial and recreational benefits from VP might be some of
the "three people". There is some chance that the software will be
improved as a result of discussions of this nature. By the way, I
rarely go to Vegas so I would appreciate it if everyone takes all
discussion of Vegas off line.

Went to the VP Glossary but couldn't find "WTF".

Heh, heh. One of my hobbies used to be brewing my own beer, and I've been engaged in some interesting chemistry discussions of late as I prepare to get back into it. Don't worry; I'm not going to go off-topic re brewing, but if anyone in the group is a homebrewer, I'd like to hear from them via private email. Bottom line is that I'm with you all the way on the issue of having a good time.

I haven't tried one of those yet. As a rule, I don't particularly like Lite beer of any brand. I drink the high-octane stuff.

Hmmm ... how's this: Give a man a beer and he will drink for awhile. Teach him how to brew, and his wife is gonna get pissed at the big mess he makes in the kitchen. Actually, I do a great job of cleaning up, but my wife and kids don't like the smell.

If you have Outlook, and the people who post keep the same subject line you
can also quickly set up a filter to move threads you're not interested
directly to the Deleted Items folder. This is also a good way to
consolidate all the messages so you can read them in a continuous stream
(good for threads heavy on math). I set up a "Max ER" folder a couple of
days ago. It has 68 messages and counting in it...
