I've tried to determine the bankroll needed to play single line $2 Double Bonus Deuces Wild using VPW.
The slot club pays .3%.
The program says $556,595.26. My husband says this is incorrect.

I’m having a hard time getting the hang of the new format.
I forgot to mention a 5% RoR in my first post.

I forgot to say that this amount is with a 5% risk of ruin.

Looks about right to me. Why does he think it’s wrong?

You are doing it correctly. You do realize that the edge is almost nothing (around 0.1%) so the bankroll will be huge. The closer your edge gets to zero (playing breakeven) the higher the bankroll you will need because you are approaching an infinite bankroll being needed by playing a negative game. I would suggest finding a different game to play with a bigger edge, for example you can expect to make the same amount hourly by playing full pay quarter deuces and the bankroll requirements are around $5000 depending on slot club.

Note this game generates lots of W-2G’s. Playing in High Limits at Gold Coast and never tipping might increase the risk of ruining your chance to play at Boyd properties and still get mailers.

You can do much better at Gold Coast than 0.3%. The 0.3% is available 24/7 for Emerald players. There are usually 5x point days and sometimes 7x point days available several times a month, limited to $10K each day. Sometimes you have to be a senior to get multipliers. Sometimes you have to qualify for a mailer to get multipliers.
If you play ‘heavily,’ there is some equity in the drawings if you show up for them. The mailers add a bit. Adding this all up, the slot club is actually closer to 0.6% rather than 0.3%. Now the bankroll required is “only” $144K rather than $560K. While still substantial, it’s less than 30% of what you were estimating before.
Since you’re effectively limited to $10K per day if you want the slot club to average 0.6%, playing $1 instead of $2 costs you an extra hour each time you go it, but it reduces the bankroll required to $127K.

Bob,
You mean the bankroll is now half the $144k at $72k since you are playing $1 instead of $2.
