You can bypass the B of A savings account fees by making a scheduled recurring transfer of $25 /month from checking to savings. And if you sign up for B of A's "keep the Change" promo this is the most lucrative bank promo around!

This is technically justified by the "fine print" in user agreement;
the "six month" period apparently started 7/1/05.
Also, they have incorrectly assessed a Savings account of mine; $3.00
monthly maintenance fee even tho the min-balance requirement of $300
had been maintained.
They did agree to refund the latter to me; others may wish to verify
that they haven't been improperly charged.
