If the sign outside said 8X points, I think you definitely have a legitimate
complaint to both casino management and the Nevada Gaming Commission.
I'm vaguely thinking that it did say that. That big sign is an invitation
to everyone, not just locals. And it didn't say "up to 8x points." Signs
around the casino would also be proof.
However, if only the locals mailers had the 8x listed, than that is a point
for the casino.
In fact, my husband just got a D and I an A mailer for March. I think, mine
was so high because I had lost money over the last couple of months. We
generally play an equal amount.
In it I noticed that for some days he has 4x points while I have 5x and so
on. On other days we both have the same special amounts.
It seems to me that for holidays the big sign outside (and possibly inside
signs) announce the special points.
