Bad news for DTUW Poker

So there was recently a lengthy thread about Bally's Draw Till U Win
poker, and although I didn't follow the thread closely at all, it was
mentioned that there might be some DTUW machines in Virginia City.

Today I took the short but fun trip from Reno to VC for the sole
purpose of finding DTUW.

I checked in three places: some Cattle Company Casino, Delta, Mark
Twain, and another smallish casino that had live music. I couldn't
find it anywhere. There were, however, a TON of Bally GameMaker
machines. Most of these dated back to the mid-1990s.

I experienced for the first time the joys of coin refils when cashing
out and taking a bucket full of nickels to the cashier. I also
experienced my first dispute with the casino - I was supposed to be
paid out 300, I was paid out 150, the screen said "Credits 150 Paid
150, Refill Needed." The workers kept insisting that it said I had
150 credits to be paid, and it paid 150, so I was owed nothing more.
They were really getting pissed at me after I kept insisting that
they were cheating me (although I phrased it more politely). Finally
the guy came for a refill and sure enough, the game spewed out 150
more coins. To their credit, they were both apologetic.

On a side note, VC wasn't a terrible way to spend a Saturday
afternoon. I had a drink, a decent lunch, a lot of sight-seeing, and
a train ride for less than $20. And the drive from Reno to VC is
really nice too.
