Bad luck at the Flamingo

While I commend Rob Singer for his empathy in this situation,
and sympathize with Ed Toole's daughter and son-in-law, I have some
reservations about a fund drive to replace their loss. Before
proceeding it should be definitely established that recovery won't
happen, and that Ed is favorably disposed to accepting contributions
from vpFREE members. Also, whether or not the loss creates a severe
financial hardship would be a consideration.

If Rob Singer privately clarifies the above, and Ed approves, and a
collection plan is devised, we'll post the information on vpFREE.

Agreed.

If this loss creates that much of a hardship, then they had no business
being in the casino with that kind of money in the first place.

I hope they do recover the lost money, and I am disappointed to hear that
they are not getting more cooperation from the hotel.
