My wife and I both got room offers at the Palms so I booked for 2 days and she booked for the following 2 days. Just curious if others do this and if you tell them when you check in that you want to keep the same room all 4 nights. I assume they don't mind since they sent separate offers but was wondering what others' experiences have been.
Back to back room offers
It's definitely doable. I would contact Casino Marketing and verify. Check
in becomes a bit problematic and you likely have to deal with the front desk
check in the morning of the transition to change the primary name on the
room because most casinos require that the comp'd room be in the name of the
marketed party.
DH and I did the same thing 6 years back to get a full week comp'd at
Caesars. It was a bit of a pain, but we didn't have to change rooms.

When I make reservations, I just tell them up front. Room gets reserved for the total days and at checking we submitt both coupons etc. They act like it is done all the time.

Harrahs - My spouse and I each play on our own cards, but because we have the same address our offers come with both names on the same mailing. We do not EACH get a mailing. And must have 2 nights somewhere else in between comp rooms at different Harrahs properties.

You might want to check with Total Rewards to see if your accounts are linked. If you're playing on separate cards you should be able to book back-to-back offers under each persons name if they're not linked. We used to book simultaneous offers before we linked our accounts.
The reason we purposely linked our accounts was because my husband stopped playing anything but poker and couldn't sit in on one of MY poker offers unless he was linked to my account.
So, there are benefits and downfalls to both ways -- linked or not, but you need to decide which way would be better for you. Linking, or unlinking accounts is just a simple trip to the Total Rewards booth and signing a piece of paper.
