Back-Rooming

Can I just ask-- What exactly are you people doing that has you so
worried about being dragged into a casino's back room and being beaten
up?

This is really quite a remark. You better never just get lucky at 21 or
you'll find out. You apparently need to.

What remark?? I see that Rico asked a question but I am missing the remark.

That question WAS a remark. Not a reasonable query but an insinuation.

LOL! Talk about being testy!

I think we should lighten up a bit here, people.

The answer is winning, of course.

Also, one doesn't have to be guilty to invoke ones rights. On second
thought, I cannot answer this question on advise from my lawyer.

Being forced to a back room without a working camera should be a
felony for all involved(including management on duty at the time.)

Nothing consciously, for me anyhow. I think the poop in the beginning had to do with people fearing being backroomed for being an advantage player.

Can I just ask-- What exactly are you people doing that has you so
worried about being dragged into a casino's back room and being

beaten

up?

I was playing blackjack and noticed that the dealer was weak. I could
see her hole card about 75% of the time without moving my head in a
strange way. Seeing a dealers hole card has been ruled both by Nevada
courts and the gaming board as completely legal. It is the casinos
responsibility to train their dealers and protect their cards. Russo
and Grosjean were backroomed for the same thing but were falsely
accused of crimes which is not my case, though I was detained for
hours during which much happened.
I would say I was backroomed for winning because the casino did not
know how to train their people.

Getting back to the moral dilemma thread that I mentioned above, then,
if a supermarket chain has an untrained checkout person who mistakenly
and chronically hands over more "change" to customers than the correct
amount, should the customer keep the "overage"? And, does the
customer then make sure that he goes back to the same check-out person
whenever he visits the market to maximize his "advantage"?

I am not pontificating. I am just questioning whether it is moral
and/or ethical to keep the "overage" and keep going back to
get "more". And how is the any different from some of the "casino
cases" mentioned?

Can bend over as far as you want to protect the casinos but they are
still in the wrong here & in many other cases. None of your "other
examples" reduce this obvious fact at all. You are pontificating at
the church of "The casino is always right & anyone afraid of them
must be doing bad".

In all of my postings on this thread, I have been neither condoning
nor condemning any casino action. I do agree, however, like all
advertising entities, casino "come-on" advertising is a gross mis-
statement of "fact". But, please read all my entries on this thread
carefully.

My comments are asking what should be considered moral and ethical on
the part of a customer.

The question has been asked, again and again, what did the customer do
to garner such attention? I was responding to that question.

bl -- I'll remark that when someone analyzes a difficult situation
that you, or someone with whom you empathize, have suffered in
extraordinarily academic terms, there's a natural inclination to
garrote that person (or cause other grievous harm).

Personally, I question whether you'll find any truly satisfying
answers along your lines of inquiry. In any case, it might be prudent
to weigh the benefits against the costs.

There appears to be a significant ethical distinction between
supermarket and casino situation:
Supermarket is in business of offering reasonably-fair, value-for-
value, transactions. At least IMO, customer is morally obligated to
pay the stated price for merchandise received.
Casino, on the other hand, is in business of attempting to win every
cent of customer's bankroll, giving basically nothing in return.
Customer is, consistently, justified in using any measure, short of
out-and-out theft, in attempt to prevent this.
