Back from Vegas

Just returned from a 5 week trip to Vegas (have family there).
Weather was great highs in the 80s or 90 every week but one. Stayed
in a western suburb, Sumerlin. Was a net winner in spite of no
royals on account of more than my share of A's at DB and 2's at NSU
deuces, and 5oak at jokers. Played about 2-3 hours a day (in order
of frequency): Rampart Casino, Red Rock, Palms, Sun Coast, Ellis
Island with one time plays at Cannery, 4 Queens and Wynn. Played
dollars with major play being: DB (Red Rock, Palms and 4 Queens),
2pr joker* 99.9 EV (Rampart and Suncoast), NSU (Rampart and Ellis
Island), 10 x .10 SA (Rampart) and WHA (Cannery). Also found a %
100+ "slot" play. Best benefits were from Rampart and Palms.

Also took a day trip to Harrahs at Laughlin to renew my diamond
status. Found out it was renewed through 3/08, so I played 50 x .10
JOB under my w's card to get her diamond in a day. It is handy to
have 2 cards to take (what seemed like constantly) visiting couples
to diamond lounges, even if nothing is playable anymore at Rio or
Caesars. Seeing the gardens at the Bellagio is great, but not 4
times in one trip!

Had 2 excellent meals at Rosemary's on W Sahara, which I recomend to
anyone dining off the strip especially if into wine or exotic beer.
Based on my limited experience, I prefer to winter in Vegas over
East Coast of Fla. More fun to plan where next meals will be comped
rather than which "early bird special" to go to. The VP variety and
the constantly changing highway exits and enterances keep you sharp.

Wife's Sagamore status at MS did not get renewed, but as she prefers
Vegas, so no big loss. Looking forard to 1 or 2 sessions of PE, but
dreading the longer term lack of VP variety

*this joker game could be the ugliest playing game ever; even
spectators left when I held suited 6 & 3, etc.
