The former is to prevent counting by constantly shuffling the cards. The
latter makes sense as each hand is dealt fresh from a new deck, I believe,
anyway. Same for live poker, where each hand is from a fresh deck.
I finally got in the money in a (tiny) online poker tournament last night.
Was second for a big prize of $22.50 (there was a guaranteed prize of $75).
At 3 a.m. I went all in on nines and lost to kings. Probably should have
been more patient but I was soooo tired!!
