Back from our cruise

No. The Grandeur is one of RCCL's smaller ships. We saw the Poker Pro table
on the bigger ships such as the Freedom.
The Grandeur did, however, have one Texas Hold 'Em table and offered a $5-$10
limit game the first five nights of the cruise. The last two nights it was
no-limit. They also had a sit-and-go tourney on the last sea day. Seven players,
$115 entry fee with first place getting $450 and second place $250.
I lost most of my chips in the tourney when I started with A-K and the flop
came up K-2-10 rainbow.
I felt pretty good with top pair, top kicker. The bad news was that one
player flopped trip ducks and another flopped trip 10's. Ouch! The guy who flopped
trip 10's went on to win the tourney. I played one other night and won $150
playing $5-$10 limit.

I recently cruised an NCL ship out of Miami that had some of the worst poker
players on the face of the earth... err sea. $5/$10 LHE. Loosest most
passive table I've ever played, and mostly the same players night after
night. Pretty interesting even with a massive rake, and what the heck else
are you gonna do after dinner and a show?

er, travelling solo, huh?

Not exactly. The wife often happily deserts me for the casino. Hard to
understand with my winning personality and hot bod. I pointed her to the
least awful paytables I could find and prayed she didn't max out our ship
credit for the day.

Now, that's an enthusiasm and stamina I could be envious of the next
time I have a hot promotion on my hands
