Babe;s trip report

Thank you so much for that excellent trip report! I loved reading it. I like the details like where you ate and if it was good or not. Charlie and i get up to Reno a couple of times a year. We stay at Peppermill because of Chris Bak, our great host there. she is awesome.

Last time we were there, a few months ago, we got a car and went to Atlantis for the afternoon. we were looking at it as a possible destination for a few days. But, i was put off by the incredible noise in the place. Of course it was on the weekend. is it that noisy during the week? Did it bother you?

Thanks for the great detail in the report, the food sounded great. Great trip report...Annie

Thanks, Annie. I appreciate your comments very much!

The Peppermill was my Reno home for many years. I had a really great
host there also; Kevin Brantner. I moved over to the Atlantis three or
four years ago when the Pepp took out my fave machines, and then fiddled
with their comp system again, making it, IMO, quite player unfriendly.

I don't enjoy playing in a noisy casino either. Particularly a raucous cacophony of hard rock "music" early in the morning. But I honestly don't believe that the Atlantis is any
worst an offender than many other casinos in which I play. The Palms is a prime
example.

The Atlantis is VERY crowded and noisy from Friday evening until Sunday evening. A lot
of the local folks are there for the frequent dinners, tournaments and drawings.

I usually stay at Atlantis from Monday afternoon until Saturday morning. That way I avoid most of the weekend noise.

I believe if you tried staying at Atlantis during the week, you'd be very pleased with the place.

The food IS great at ATL! Less pricey than the PEPP restaurants as well.

Thanks again for reading the report and letting me know that you enjoyed it.

Many thanks also to James, Rod and other forum members who wrote me privately!
