AVI, my experience

AVI is an Indian Casino located 14 miles south of Laughlin. It is
isolated, but a little jewel for low rollers. Here is my daytrip
experience:

Curiousity got the best of me. I heard a radio ad and saw the print
ad for a promotion at the AVI-show any 2003 W2G to enter a Tuesday
drawing for cash, get a roll a quarters, get two buffets and two
drinks. So off to the AVI.

They could not find me in the computer at the slot club, so I started
over. Sure enough they let me enter the promo with my freshly earned
W2G from the GN. Strong drawing, two chances at $599, about 40
tickets total in the drum. They gave me a roll of quarters and
coupons good for that day.

Tuesdays and Thursdays they do a $10 entry BJ tourney guaranteed $1k
prize fund. So I did that one too. Wednesdays a free $1500 VP
tourney. A daily $50 in chips for $40 special for table games. Six-
packs of pop for quad Aces/Faces, Monday drawings for cash for eating
in the restauants...alot of promos.

AVI is sort of a daybus place combined with a locals place. Walking
in I was disoriented, did not know any of the VP inventory. It is
kind of fun discovering the best plays in the 777 machines.

Anyway, I did not win the drawing, but finished fourth in the BJ
tourney for $75. Played $300 coin-in to see if it gets me mail. The
staff was friendly and the drawings and tourney well orginized. The
band started about 7:30 pm in the Arroweed lounge. A fun experience
worth doing again.

Now some database stuff:

Slot club hours- 6am-midnight

Coin-in per point is $3.05 (that is right, 61 nickels), 1000 points/
$1 CB, minumim 20,000 first-time redemption, 10,000 after that.

There is some sort of comps earned too, did not ask, but a terminal
is located by the buffet/coffee shop to self comp.

Currently double points on Thursdays 10a-10p, plus double points for
the W2G promo on Tuesdays. Adjusted manually within 48 hours.

VP inventory is pretty weak with alot of 97-99% stuff, but a few
plays:

Eight fast slant-top Aqua Game Kings (by front enterance)
with .25, .50 and $1 JB 9/6.

These GK also have Bonus 8/5. Other single line Bonus in IGT slant-
top banks .25 and $1. Bonus in the Arroweed bartops.

Three Sigma Double Jackpot 8/5 in quarters in same assorted row.

The best paytables for deuces found was 12/8 LD and Ugly 15/9.

The website is quite good, but no room rate info is listed.

AQUAGaming = http://www.casinovendors.com/VendorPage.cfm/79395.html
Florida based company. I doubt these machines have RNGenerators. Maybe
the AVI is not under Nevada Gaming Commission jurisdiction.

"Aqua Game Kings" means aqua blue back glass IGT Game Kings. They
have the capabitity of being multi-multies, although I have seen them
with only one game/denomination activated.

I also have seen Game Kings in "burnt orange" back/belly glass.

Not to be confused with the GK back glass combo: "ruby red"
backround, "royal blue" crown highlighted with "canary yellow" trim.
I think these are single denomination/multi-games. These are offered
in the standard size platform and the slant-tops with the bigger
screens.

The older Bally Gamemakers are a "kelly green and midnight black"
motif. The bartops seem to be more of an "emerald green". The Keno
Plus Gamemakers have a "regal purple" infused into them.

The real old slant-top Gamemakers did not have any glass what-so-
ever. The screen provided the only ID.

Any other color combos out there for GK and GMs?
