Automatic holds (was VP for Dummies)

For a short time, the Fiesta (before it became Fiesta Station Rancho) had some VLC machines with a game that offered over 100%. The automatic strategy was not perfect, but it was good enough to make it worth while just letting it hold because you could get over 1000 hands per hour on one machine. They didn't last long, of course.

BTW, the book "Poker for Dummies" has a chapter on video poker that I wrote. Unfortunately, the editors chopped it up quite a bit, so I can't recommend the book except for a raw beginner.

All IGT product has that option. Not very accurate strategy. When the
Majestic star had these turned on, serious players asked that they be
turned off and they did. Williams has this feature and it is worse than
most beginners. VLC machines that use it appear to have very accurate
strategy. Problem is that I have never seen a 97% or better game on any of
these.
